19 days until we leave for the wedding.
I think I have things pretty much under control, and boy is that a good feeling. We have most things done... I just have to work on the place cards, pick out some jewelery for myself, buy bridesmaid and groomsmen's gifts. My mom is sewing the table cloths. There are a few things to be taken care of once in Alberta, but for now.. I feel almost relaxed. Almost ;)
I've been working like a little paper machine the last couple of days producing items for my upcoming etsy shop (It will open in October, after all the wedding stuff is done). I've made hundreds of gift tags, next on the books are notecards. I really hope I can supplement our family income, even if just a little bit, by doing something I love. I'm just bummed that I'm too late to make Halloween paper goods... ah well, Christmas is just around the corner!! Here's a peek of what I'm 'm doing:

Tuesday, August 26, 2008
Hey :)
Hey all... sorry I haven't been posting much lately. Life is *very* hectic right now. We had our "PEI Reception" over the weekend, and we currently have only 24 days until we leave for the wedding. Plus, I've been super sick with a kidney infection. Doesn't leave much time for blogging... or anything I enjoy for that matter, lol. My house has also managed to quite quickly slip into a disaster zone. Feeling a bit overwhelmed here at the moment. I'm excited about the wedding but very stressed at the same time. A few things aren't working out according to plan, and in true Chelsea form I am really worrying over them (trying my hardest not to.. but..) to the point where I keep having dreams about things going terribly wrong at the wedding.
Last night I dreamed that Matt had invited a bunch of girls to be bridesmaids that I didn't even know, and that they were wearing terrible yellow and pink lace/chiffon dresses with pink tights. Somehow, the wedding ended in a riot. I woke up feeling all angry and anxious, not exactly a great way to start the day.
Something else that's really been bothering me a lot lately is the color of the walls in our townhouse. They are pale pale yellow (might as well just be white, so BLAH) and I *hate* them. I really want to paint badly, but Matt says no painting because it is just a rental. I have managed to not live anywhere with white walls.. well... ever. I just don't like this is my home at all, and hate that feeling. All I want to do is just settle in and make my place really *mine*. Now I feel like I can't do that here, and want to move as soon as our lease is up in April. Matt doesn't get it and thinks the walls are fine (they are fine, I guess) and that I am nuts. I spend a big portion of my life at home and I just want to really love it. I hate sitting in my living room staring at the walls and hating them. We have a family now and soon we will be married.. I want to create a home for my child where he can love growing up. Sigh.
I do still have a million things to do, so I have to cut this post short but I will leave you with this photo from the weekend;
Matt, Granny Ling, and Me :)

Inspiration Jumble!
I've found so many cool things lately.... so this entire post is dedicated to "stuff I think is neat".
Found via Decor8. These little onesies and accessories are hand appliqued.. but what I like best about them is that BOYS can wear them! I don't know how many little girl's custom clothing I have seen around etsy.. but ir's slim pickins when it comes down to finding cute boys stuff. Love it. The shop is called Bella Blue Designs, and they have a lot more great goodies so go check them out.. I'm particularily fond of the english bulldog..
This cutey fawn came from Etsy seller Anomaly Jewelery. This particular one is sold, but they have many other cute jewelery made from real silver. A bit pricey at $100-300 for the average piece, but how often do you find unique, good quality jewelery like that? If I had some extra money I would snap up a little deep or lamb so fast! They're having a 50% off sale for one day only - August 21st (Thursday). I'm totally bummed I'm going to miss out!
This pillow sold a while ago - but the seller now has up for sale a stuffed toy version of the pug. If you know me well at all, you know I pine for a pug of my own. Also check out her funny little stuffed girly acorns.
I AM DYING to buy these fun food patterns! They're all made of felt, and look at the beautiful details. I want Jude to have these. I don't want him chewing on Chinese plastic playfood. They have the craziest designs, even stuff like Chinese takeout and Mcdonalds Happy Meals.
I found this blog last night while browsing Flickr. She has a cute home and a cute daughter and makes cute stuff! The shot above is her daughter's room, and I now know what color I am going to paint my living room. Check out the rest of her photos on flickr.
The entire time I've been writing this, I've been listening to the music playing at Elizabeth Kartchner's blog. I originally left it open by mistake, but she really has a great bunch of music playing there.. so go check her out. She's crazy talented in addition to having good music taste.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!
Well, no, not really. It's still sunny and hot here in Charlottetown (generally. today it is pouring). I went to Michaels today and they had *so much* Christmas stuff out, I was wishing I had my camera with me! They had some great decor items - beautiful silver reindeer, and these great aqua colored tin christmas trees covered in silver snowflakes.. it made me happy. I'm glad, since I went to Michaels to cheer myself up. Speaking of Michaels - they are getting some GREAT scrapbooking stuff in. I normally feel Michaels is a bit behind the times on new products... but they had some Heidi Swapp stuff, new Making Memories stuff, and best of all - a regular display (in the wall) of PRIMA FLOWERS!! Yay! :) This is a big deal to me since the island only has one small scrapbook store, and it is 30 minutes away from me, so I end up at Michaels more than I would like.
I'm really excited for all things winter this year. Yeah, I know I'm nuts. But this year, winter to me means relaxation because it signals the end of my very crazy year. The wedding will be taken care of, we will be more settled in after moving, the baby will be 8 months old.. life is going to be great. Plus, summer in PEI is just toooo busy and sweaty. The humidity here is nuts, and I guess because summer here is so short people just go nuts trying to fit in as much as they possibly can
OOO, they're doing reviews of "as seen on TV items" on Steven and Chris today.. gotta go watch! PS: Sign up for my September Blog Challenge on Scrapbook.com.

Big Photopost!!
Alright.. so here are a bunch of photos I have been meaning to share for a while - including two tags that I made last night for the BBC! I've added these all to flickr as well, so if you have flickr please be my friend! Am I desperate if I ask for friends? hehe...
Oh, as a side note - I added a little shoutout box on the right side where you can leave me little notes if you choose to do so. I hope you do, because who doesn't like notes? Right now it is looking a little sad, containing only the obligatory self testing post.
My desk.. currently.
An owl Christmas Ornament I made last night.. was intended to be a tag, but went in a different direction. Lol :)
Snowflake tag... I just used stuff already on my desk and I seemed to have a lot of pink/blue/wintery stuff around.
"Beautiful" tag. I like the color combos in this one! Again made from stuff hanging out on my desk.
The shelf I found a couple months ago at the flea market. I painted the insides teal and now it holds paint, and my owl collection. I have to put the rest of the owls up there!
I found this fish at VV in Moncton ages ago, but haven't yet posted it.
Mushroom sugar bowl I got at VV yesterday, isn't it cute?
These are all shots from a baby book I found at the flea market, from the 50's/60's. It had never been written in!! Too cute.
Owl bookend I got from a Garage sale (I got two).
Family of owls from VV and a little green ceramic tray made in the 70's from the flea market.
My very old (5 yrs!) purse from Macy's in NYC.
And to finish up... my little man wearing the awesome knitted cap Grandma bought him from the flea market.

Pity Party = Attendance: one
Today I would first of all like to say Happy Four Months old to my little guy! :) (technically he is 17 weeks, but was born April 13Th)
Unfortunately, I think I have a kidney infection and can barely lift him right now so he went to Grandma's for the day. This is what I get for ignoring the pains I've been having in my back/pelvic area for almost a month. The Dr. gave me antibiotics which make me sick in other ways, to make it even better. I am sitting on the couch trying not to move and feeling sorry for my self. I have so many things to do, I can't be sick!! The house is slipping into disorder. Matt isn't home until 11 so I have no company either :( waaaah lol. I bought some cheap VHS at the flea market on Sunday so I am going to snuggle up in bed and drown my sorrows in Saved and 13 Going on Thirty. And possibly even School of Rock.
Yesterday I picked up a couple cute things at Value Village aka VV Boutique. I really need to get some pics of my growing vintage owl collection and the other random things I have found at flea markets/garage sales/VV lately. I found a baby book from the 50's-60's at the flea market the other day for TWO DOLLARS. Never used! The art in it is FAB!
Anyways.... onto the BBC post for the day.. since I haven't done one in a while. Today we are to talk about our 5 favorite tools. I am not sure if this means actual tools like hammers and saws, scrapbooking tools, or what. So I am choosing the items that come in the most handy for me in day to day life (not in any particular order)
My Dyson. I love, love, love this vacuum. Got it on boxing day on sale (yeah!) and it was quite possibly the best $450 I ever spent. Yes, expensive, but sooo very worth it. The first time I used it, my rugs actually became a lighter color than I thought they were. I love how easy it is to empty ad that I don't have to use bags. I love how easy it is to carry around (the handle on the top of the canister is awesome)and that the hose clips to the machine, so you don't have a big ole plastic hose flopping around while you vacuum.
Cutter Bee Scissors. I loooove, love these. They are small, easy to maneuver, accurate, and relatively cheap. They don't hurt my hands at all which many larger scissors do. I am no good with an exacto style knife so I cut out all of my tiny details with these scissors.
Adtech Glue Runner. Available at Walmart for $4 intitially and then $4 for two refills. Sooo cheap and great! I am able to always have multiple refills around because the price is so low, and I don't worry about using 'too much adhesive' on anything. I even used these on my wedding invites!
This pink Kitchenaid Knife. I use this knife almost every time I cook. It is soo amazing at chopping, carving, or anything else you want to do with a knife lol. Plus, it is PINK.
... and I can't come up with a 5th. I'm tired now.. so off to bed with me.. watch for some posts soon about re-decorating my living room. I am in serious need of help.
