Open Letter to Graco

Dear Graco;

I am currently mad at you. Some genius in your company decided that it would be a good idea to make pack and plays wider than a doorway. So, I attempted (yeah, attempted, because it was HARD!!) to assemble the stupid pack and play in the hallway, and now I can't get it down again OR through any doors - so I have a pack and play in my hallway that refuses to move. I am not able to pack, nor play. Instead, I am angry.

Love Always,
Chelsea

**Update: all is well now with the pack and play... it is in my studio now :) Jude can hang out in it while I craft!

I was pretty angry at Fisher Price when our pack and play collapsed with baby *IN* it. He was okay but we haven't used it since. lol

AMEN to that! We never take ours down..too much trouble! One night we attempted to take it upstairs so the boys could sleep in our room (when they were only a few weeks old). That was a major catastrophe.

I think you have to pull the middle up before the sides will collapse (you have to press the buttons on the side). I so remember those days!!! It's a major pain!!! Good luck!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!
I totally understand, though I MADE mine go through the doorway, you will notice that there are dents all over the door way in our old apartment. oops

Got it! Pack n' Play playards were originally MADE to fit through doorways but I think with some of the new models/frame styles with all the accessories, they may have gotten a little wider - I can't say for sure, but I'm going to go check with the "geniuses!" (seriously- they're pretty smart engineers!) IMHO :)

Thanks for letting us know and we're sorry we let you down! Hope the SnugRide is working out for you though!! (I see your adorable son Jude in one)

LOL! Lindsay - I am so glad you responded... never thought my letter would actually be seen by anyone at Graco!! hahah :) I do love that carseat.. and the stroller... and now that the pack and play is assembled, I love that too. But really, just shave 2 inches off the sides and then it will fit through doors!

Well we're out here trying to listen to parents - feedback like this (the kind where people speak freely and openly) is usually the best kind!

Glad you're able to get back to those crafts!

See you on Twitter! :)
